Street Fighter X Tekken

Street Fighter X Tekken is released in 2012 by Capcom. It is a fighting game which features characters from Street Fighter (Capcom) and Tekken (Namco). In this game, the player chooses 2 characters he/she wants to play as. These 2 characters will team up and fight their way to Antarctica.
Pandora's Box
The story of the game depends on the 2 characters the player chose. If the 2 characters are supposed to be a pair (e.g. Ryu and Ken, Lili and Asuka, etc), their story line will show up in the beginning and ending cut scenes and also they will face their rival from the other game on their way to Antarctica (if player’s pair is from Street Fighter, their rival will be from Tekken). If the 2 are not supposed to be a pair, the cut scenes and scenario will be focused on the Pandora and they will not face any rivals. The last fight will feature a boss fight. The boss will fight alone but tougher and stronger than other characters. Akuma will be the boss against Tekken characters and Ogre will be the boss against Street Fighter characters. Even though the story line is different, but the general idea is that the all pair of characters heard about Pandora and become interested in it. Therefore, they come to Antarctic to retrieve it. They met each other on their way and battle for the right to retrieve Pandora.
Launching the opponent to the air
The player’s aim is to win all the fights until they successfully retrieved the Pandora. The characters are controlled by using Street Fighter’s 6 button system (light, medium, heavy punch and kick). Tekken characters can still perform combos by using the primary 4 buttons used in Tekken. Combos are performed by performing a series of movements listed in the combo list. Each character features different combos and super combos. A player wins the round when they are able to reduce the opponent’s health bar to zero on one personnel of the team. The player is able to swap characters in the middle of the fight. They can do so while not performing attacks, in the middle of combo (Switch Cancel), and launching the opponent to the air and continue the attacks (Cross Rush). Super combos are the special technique of the character. It must be charged for a few seconds before the player can use it (player is vulnerable while doing so). There are a few level of charging super combos. If not charged, it will become special move of the character. If charged half way, it will become EX attack. If fully charged, it will become super attack. Ryu, for example, will unleash hadouken if not charged, shakunetsu hadouken if charged half way (higher damage, can be fully blocked, EX attack), or shinku hadouken if fully charged (higher damage, cannot be fully blocked, super attack). The player can also do throws, which cannot be blocked, and chain combos of the character.
Cross Assault
The player can also do Cross Arts or Cross assault when the Cross Gauge is full. The gauge will fill up when the player deals or receive damage and reduce when the player use quick combos or Cross Arts or Cross Assault. Cross Arts combines the 2 character’s super combos into one attack which deals high damage to the opponent. Cross Assault allows the player to have both characters enter the field and attack the opponent 2 VS 1 until the gauge runs out. The player can also activate Pandora Mode when a character has less than 25% of their HP. The character will be sacrificed and gives the other character enhanced strength and infinite Cross Gauge for a limited time. However, if the opponent survives the Pandora Mode time limit, the player will be declared loser for the round.
